Information on this site
Guides, price ranges and technical explanations here are general information about leak detection and plumbing in DeKalb County, Illinois. They aren’t a substitute for an inspection of your property, and no professional relationship is created by reading them. Prices shown are indicative ranges as of the date published and are not offers.
Quotes and pricing
Detection is quoted before work begins. Repairs are quoted after the leak is located, in writing. After-hours, weekend and holiday response carries a premium which we state before dispatch. Detection fees are credited toward repairs we carry out.
Access and site conditions
You agree to provide safe access to the work area and to disclose known hazards, previous repairs and the location of private utilities where you’re aware of them. Before excavation we file an Illinois JULIE (811) locate request for public utilities; private lines on your property are not covered by that system.
Limits on detection
Leak detection is skilled interpretation of physical evidence, not a guarantee. Accuracy varies with depth, pipe material, leak size, construction and background noise. We state our confidence level before you commit to any excavation or cutting. Where we can’t locate a leak, we’ll tell you what was ruled out and discuss the charge rather than bill a full locate for a partial result.
Warranty
Repairs carry a workmanship warranty as stated on your invoice. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and equipment per their terms. Warranties don’t cover subsequent failures elsewhere in a system, damage from freezing where reasonable heat wasn’t maintained, or work altered by others.
Emergencies and safety
Nothing on this site replaces emergency services. If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 and Nicor Gas at 888-642-6748 from outside. For a broken water main or an inoperable curb stop, contact the City of DeKalb Water Division at 815-748-2050.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Illinois law, our liability arising from services is limited to the amount paid for the work concerned, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
